From artisan bakeries to designer workshops, Belgravia is a haven for the beautiful and the bespoke

And here at The Berkeley, we’re always looking for ways to celebrate the shops that make up this carefully-curated corner of London. So hop on a Berkeley bike, or set out on foot, to discover a few of our favorite things.

Just a few steps from The Berkeley lies Kinnerton Street – home to a smart selection of independent stores. There’s Rachel Vosper, the fragrance atelier with a focus on the senses and sustainability. Craft your own signature scent in her candle making masterclasses, or refill your existing container with an expertly-poured candle from her scent library. Nearby clothing designer – egg – made its home in a converted dairy, and has been crafting and selling timeless pieces for over 25 years. In a return to tradition, it’s a shop that invites exploration – a welcoming space dedicated to trend-setting techniques and technicians from around the world.

Continue down to Motcomb Street to pick up a pastry from the renowned Ottolenghi Belgravia. Or indulge in a visit to Rococo Chocolates, where steaming hot chocolate, beautifully-boxed organic truffles and an in-house chocolate school are undeniably decadent.

Over at Eaton Square Gardens, Elizabeth Street’s shops are some of our favourites. Stop by Philip Treacy, milliner to the stars, for haute couture accessories. Before escaping into a frosted fantasy at Peggy Porschen, where rainbow-coloured cakes come laden with blossoming roses.

When you’ve had your fill, a refreshing cocktail back at The Berkeley is simply perfect.
